Refund policy for Paddle checkouts

What your own refund page should say when Paddle takes the payment.

Your page, not Paddle's

Paddle is in the payments category. On sites we scan, it shows up through cdn.paddle.com, public.paddle.com, buy.paddle.com. Its role is to sell software as the merchant of record, including tax and checkout.

Data that may be processed: Buyer email, payment details, tax location, and subscription status. The vendor describes the location as: United Kingdom and other countries where Paddle acts as merchant of record. Their public privacy or data-processing terms are at https://www.paddle.com/legal/privacy.

Paddle can be the system that takes the money. Your refund page still has to state your window, how to ask, and what happens to a subscription. Publishing the page does not guarantee that Paddle will approve or keep a merchant account.

Paddle.js loads from cdn.paddle.com. Paddle often sells as merchant of record, which means the buyer may also see Paddle's own terms. Your refund page should match the window you actually honor, and it should not pretend to speak for Paddle.

Write the window in days

Pick a number you will actually honor. TermsPack's draft uses the number you enter, defaults nowhere silently, and tells the visitor how to email you. A 14-day window is a common starting point for a digital product. It is not a legal requirement we are stating for your country.

TermsPack generates templates from what we detect on your site. This is not legal advice and does not create an attorney–client relationship. Have a lawyer review documents for your situation.
